NiceNet - Nicenet is a non-profit organization of Internet professionals who give their time to provide services to the education community. Nicenet provides users with an Internet Classroom Assistant (ICA2), a sophisticated communication tool that brings powerful World-Wide-Web based conferencing, personal messaging, document sharing, scheduling and link/resource sharing to a variety of learning environments. The ICA2 incorporates many new features and responds to requests we have received from our users. Nicenet provides the ICA free of charge with no advertising. This NETnet Trivia quiz was made with the free CASTLE Toolkit from the University of Leicester.

Want to try a free and easy quiz generator? It's web-based, which means there's nothing to download or install. Be sure to visit Quiz Star to create Multiple Choice, True/False, and Short Answer questions. Quiz Star allows you to group students by class name (e.g. NETnet Room Operation Training), to activate and deactivate quizzes so they are available to students only on certain dates, and can send you an email (if you'd like) when each student has taken the quiz.

Click on the compass to see an example of a Quiz Star quiz on NETnet Room Operation. After you click on the compass:

Fill in the name fields (you don't have to use your real name!) and click on the Submit button
The next screen will tell you your name was not found in the specified class - that's ok, just click on the Add Me To This Class button
Read the quiz instructions and click the Continue button
Take the quiz and click the Submit Quiz button.

Assign an archived video from The Research Channel. Search their library of programs (by Program Title, Series Title, Institution, Subject, New Releases, or do a Keyword Search) to find free videos on subjects in Arts and Humanities, Business and Economics, Engineering and Computer Science, Health and Medicine, K-12 and Education, Sciences, or Social Sciences. UWTV offers a similar service and many of the same programs.
